SOM members are free to join their local regional group. Groups provide a unique, relevant, and lively forum, aiming to develop your knowledge and encourage discussion and networking through social events and workplace visits. Other benefits include:
- Contribution to your annual continued professional development requirements
- Networking with colleagues, peer support and exchange of information and ideas
- The opportunity to feed into SOM national policy and SOM's educational programme
Find your local regional group by using the map - click on your region to navigate to that specific page for regional group contact details. Note we also have an international group - contact us for details.
SOM members are free to join as many groups as they like - please email Ann.Caluori@som.org.uk to request to be added to an additional group (you can select your first group in your profile settings in the Members Area). Non-members may be allowed to attend group meetings but will need to join the SOM if they wish to continue attending the meetings and receive wider membership benefits.
View our Regional Group meeting calendar March 2024 - December 2024 here (further dates will be added - please check back for updates).
